3rd Law Dance/Theater debuts "Authentic Reproduction" this weekend, March 16-18 at the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder and March 23-24 at the Newman Center in Denver. This evening-length work by Katie Elliot and Jim LaVita in collaboration with electronic media artist Darwin Grosse is not to be missed. I had the pleasure of photographing Frequent Flyers Productions earlier this month. They have a fantastic show this spring titled Cirque de Minuit. It debuts April 13-15th in Boulder, Colorado at the Dairy Center for the Arts.

These two choreographers have a dear place in my heart. DeShawn and Brittney both danced in my BFA dance concert many years ago. Watching them grow and cultivate their own artistic voices has been the greatest blessing. Thank you for sharing your heart and soul with me for so many years. Here's to many more to come.

Dear friends, 

I'm performing in a show this next week in San Francisco. I'm driving up from the central coast tomorrow morning with my little and hubby. Then my artist friends and I are locking ourselves up in the Garage to create a new show. We're sharing it with the city and our west coast fans January 11th and 12th. The video above is from our Denver premiere. I cannot wait to see what we create this time around. See you tomorrow my dear friends. Let's make some magic together.

falling snow and shooting stars : taylor

Meet Taylor Augustine. She's a beautiful old soul with compelling stories to tell through glances, dances and mesmerizing eyes. She was the muse for my BFA concert and for this shoot. Taylor is moving away which is hard to grasp. She's one of those people who's presence, heart and soul are unforgettable. As a person and dancer she shines brighter than the stars. It's been an honor to get to know her while we were in school together and I look forward to following her adventures in New York. 

We met for this shoot on a beautiful snowy day. She danced, I took photos, it was perfect. The best way to spend a day with a friend who is moving away. I hope you enjoyed these as much as I did taking them.

Happy New Year

A New Year, a new view. 2011 was amazing, full of challenges, growth and love. I'm looking forward to being pushed to new places in my work and life. There are many exciting and compelling projects on the calendar for 2012 and I can't wait to share them with you as they pass through my lens.
